About
The 2013 season was a breakthrough for Martin, as he nearly missed out on a USA Indoor Championship, finishing as a runner-up for the first time in a USA Championship. An NCAA champion in both the hammer throw and the shot put, Martin has established a name for himself as an elite shot put thrower. Twice in his career he has recorded a season mark that ranked him in the top ten in the world and his personal best of 22.10m/72-6.25 currently sits No. 16 on the all-time world performance list. Martin qualified for the World Outdoor Championships in Moscow, which was his latest world team that has also included the 2010 World Indoor Championships and 2004 World Junior Championships.
