Memorial Van Damme on beIN SPORTS Friday
BRUSSELS -- Eight American Diamond League leaders are looking for titles Friday, as the 2015 Diamond League comes to a close with the Final II taking place at the Memorial Van Damme. Joe Kovacs is in the hunt for his first Diamond League title in the men’s shot put, while Bershawn Jackson could see a challenge in the men’s 400mH Diamond from fellow countryman Johnny Dutch. Justin Gatlin looks to secure yet another Diamond League title in the men’s 100 meters, facing off against compatriot Mike Rodgers today. Rodgers has a busy weekend ahead, entering the men’s 100 meters three races this weekend: Diamond League Final II, Great North CityGames and DecaNation.
Three U.S. hurdlers are all up for the Diamond League title, with Dawn Harper-Nelson, Sharika Nelvis and Jasmin Stowers all in the running. Allyson Felix enters her first of two races this weekend, looking for another Diamond League title in the women’s 200 meters. Francena McCorory is also the Diamond League leader in the women’s 400 meters and looks to secure her crown in Friday’s race.
Gatlin will also look to pull off another phenomenal double, competing in the non-Diamond League men’s 200 meters just over an hour after his men’s 100 meters race.
beIN SPORTS has coverage of the Memorial Van Damme beginning at 2 p.m. ET in the U.S. Fans can also stream the event online on beIN SPORTS Connect.

Team USA looks to secure eighth consecutive DecaNation title
PARIS, France -- Mike Rodgers closes out his busy weekend by representing Team USA at the 2015 DecaNation meet in Paris, France. Rodgers is joined by World Championships bronze medalist Michelle Carter and men’s 4x400m gold medalist David Verburg in leading the Americans at the yearly international one-day showdown.
Created and hosted by the French Athletics Federation in 2005, DecaNation is a team competition between nations from around the world where event specialists compete in 20 different competitions. The winner of each individual event earns nine points for his or her team, with seven points for second place, six for third and so on. Besides the U.S., competing nations this year will be China, France, Japan, Italy, Russia and Ukraine.
Team USA has dominated the event, winning the past seven consecutive contests and eight of the last 10 since the event began in 2005.
