Highlights from the 2015 Manchester Great CityGames will air from 6-7 p.m. ET on NBCSN on Saturday, June 6. A unique experience for athletes and fans alike, the Great CityGames are contested in the streets of major cities to bring the crowd right up to the action.
 
The Manchester Great CityGames aired live on USATF.TV and the event will be available for on-demand viewing following the broadcast on NBCSN.

Smithsonian to include TSU Athletics, including famed Tigerbelles
 
The Smithsonian Institution's new museum, set to open in 2016, will highlight the renowned athletic history of Tennessee State University with a portion dedicated solely to the university’s athletic success and the rich history of the Tigerbelles.
 
TSU is recognized as one of the first universities to provide academic as well as athletic opportunities for African American women with the most shining example, from their track and field program, the Tigerbelles. Under the leadership of USATF Legend Coach award winner Ed Temple, athletes such as Wilma Rudolph and Chandra Cheeseborough rose to their full potential making a name for themselves as well as for TSU.
 
Regional events approaching en route to USATF National Club Track & Field Champs
 
USATF Regional Open Track & Field Championships are fast approaching with the West event on Saturday, June 6, hosted by the Jim Bush Track & Field Championships in San Diego, and the East event on Sunday, June 14 at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in Manhattan, New York.

USATF remembers the life of Henry Carr
 
USA Track & Field mourns the loss of two-time Olympic champion Henry Carr, who passed away at age 72 on Friday, May 29 after losing a 20-year battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
 
Inducted into the National Track & Field Hall of Fame in 1997, the Montgomery, Alabama, native became a two-time gold medalist at the Tokyo 1946 Games, where he not only set an Olympic record of 20.3 in the 200 meters, but he also contributed a 44.5, anchor-leg split to the world-recording setting 4x400m relay team that finished in 3:00.7.
 
Following Carr’s accomplishments in track & field, he went on to play professional football for the New York Giants from 1965-68. Later in life, he became a devout Christian and a lay preacher. 
 
Visitation for Henry Carr will take place on June 5, from 5 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin, Georgia, with the funeral service on Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Brother Gerald Hollins will officiate.
