LANDOVER, Maryland -- USA Track & Field hosts more than 2,500 young athletes (ages 7-17), competing for national titles on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the USATF Hershey Youth Indoor Championships at Prince George’s County Sports and Learning Complex.

USATF.TV will provide live coverage for the entire weekend, beginning with 55 meters at 5 p.m. ET, Friday, March 13. A full day of Saturday action continues from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. before concluding with Sunday’s schedule from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Among those top in their events are Daloria Boone (Milledgeville, Georgia) in the 15-16 girls long jump, distance athlete Michael Abebe (Silver Springs, Maryland) in the 17-18 boys 3000 meters and sprinter Jayla Hollis (Red Oak, Texas) in the 13-14 girls 55m hurdles.

Boone, with a leap of 5.76m/18-10.75, approaches the meet with the most impressive long jump in her age group after last year setting a National Junior Olympic record in the event outdoors.

A 2014 Youth Outdoor Champion, Abebe’s top time of 9:00.00 in 3000m makes him the young man to beat among his peers.

Hollis, a member of the North Texas Cheetah team that broke the 4x400m record at JOs, is also her age-group leader in the 55mH, coming in with a time of 8.67.
